ASHRAE
ASHRAE is organized for the sole purpose of advancing the arts and sciences of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration for the public's benefit through research, standards writing, continuing education, and publications.
A web page on the Advanced Energy Design Guide series of publications developed in collaboration with ASHRAE, The American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) can be accessed directly at www.ashrae.org/aedg. This site will provide the opportunity for submittal of case studies and feedback on the Guides.
CIE
The International Commission on Illumination (CIE - Commission Internationale de L'Eclairage) is an organization devoted to international cooperation and exchange of information among its member countries on all matters relating to the science and art of lighting.
IALD
The vision of the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) is to set the global standard for lighting design excellence. IALD's mission is to serve worldwise members by promoting the practice of excellent lighting.
IES
The Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) is the recognized technical authority on illumination. For over 100 years its objective has been to communicate information on all aspects of good lighting practice to its members, to the lighting community, and to consumers through a variety of programs, publications, and services. The strength of the IES is its diversified membership: engineers, architects, designers, educators, students, contractors, distributors, utility personnel, manufacturers, and scientists, all contributing to the mission of the Society: to advance knowledge and disseminate information for the improvement of the lighted environment to the benefit of society.

Lightfair is the largest architectural and commercial lighting trade show in North American and the world's largest architectural and commercial lighting conference.
NCQLP
Through a peer-review process, the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP) establishes the education, experience, and examination requirements for certification in the lighting industry.
NUCKOLLS
The Nuckolls Fund for Lighting Education is an endowment fund that gives annual grants in support of college-level programs that inspire students with an understanding of light in architecture.
